Volumetric Weight

Calculate the volumetric weight of your shipment. Sometimes, large items with a light overall weight can be charged according to the space they take up on aircraft. In these cases, Volumetric Weight, or dimensional (Dim) weight, is used to calculate the shipment cost.

It is recommended that you calculate the Volumetric Weight for every shipment that you send, then compare this to its actual weight. The greater weight of the two is used to work out the price that we charge you.

How to Calculate Volumetric Weight
International Volumetric Weights are calculated using the formula below:

Length x Width x Height in centimeters / 5000 = Volumetric Weight in kilograms

If your shipment is customs-dutiable, it needs to be accompanied by an invoice at all times.

If it is a commercial shipment with a commercial value, you will need a commercial invoice. If it is a non-commercial shipment (non-business purpose), such as a personal gift, sample or faulty part, you will need a proforma or non-business use invoice.

• All mail service will be collected from your office / house and will be delivered door steps of consignee without any extra charges.  
• Chargeable weight will be rounded-off to the next higher 500 gms. When Shipment lightweight volumetric (L*W*H (in cms) / 5000) or actual weight whichever is higher will be charged.  
• No Deduction allowed on Late delivery due to Flight delay/off-Loads/Customs Delay. Any such deduction on Courier charges will be allowed only when our Principal agree to the reasons.  
• Lost compensation maximum is on declared Invoice Value or Rs 100/- whichever is lower.  
• Freight charges of Rs.1750/- will be charged extra on all Commercial Shipments.  
• Fuel Surcharge will be charged as applicable on above rates.  
• Service tax as applicable.  
• Chemical Shipment charged clearance Charge Rs. 750/- Extra.  
• Any other levies, taxes or duties enforced by govt. would be charged extra if and as applicable.  
• Rates & Surcharge are subject to change in case Principal changes their Tariff.  
• We do not accept all items that infringe the Indian Postal Act of 1898 and all restricted items as per the guidelines of IATA.
